Groove is in the Heart

This week's challenge from Laura Harms really tugged at me from the inside out. Her little son is having his own challenges, and week #8 asked us to use this challenge to send him some 'good goo-goos' to help him through his.
It's a wondrous thing when so many people hold one person in their hearts for even a minute. When I think of all the people who are thinking good thoughts and sending them to Artoo, many in the form of a heart-felt Zentangle, I fall in love with this growing community of tanglers all over again!
My first was my 'over the top' version. I wanted to put all I could into it. At a couple points I thought of stopping, but I kept hearing my husband say... don't hold back put it all in there! (A common theme when I am cooking and get timid with the onions.) So I did, and this is what happened...

Then I felt that a little sweetheart of a boy like Artoo maybe needed something a bit simpler, and the 'breathe' challenge came back to me...

As I finished the second, a third came over me. The '90s song, "Groove is in the Heart" kept running through my brain. I kept thinking about all the people out there sitting down to tangle a heart for Artoo. This last one is about this community of lovely people, all connected and swirling together. I am grateful to have found such a place. Thanks, everyone...this one's for you... groove IS in the heart.

  1. I like them all but love the first...there's a depth of love in it that's amazing.

  2. Love them all. Each so different and so wonderful! Interesting that we both used hearts to go around Ixorus, but each differently! I've never liked what I've done with Echoism, but I really like the way you've used it to fill the edges of the last tile. I'll have to try it again. Well done!

  4. Groove really is in the heart. Thanks Carole for reminding me [big hug]. The middle one is my favourite. It's one of those beautiful optical illusion effects where those lovely, full, breathing, orb-o-liscious hearts aren't even truly 'there', but the mind's eye fills it in, finds the 3 dimensionality, et voila! there they are!! :)
